TOAD freezes

I have now had more than a dozen times when I am working on a TOAD window and the cursor becomes an hourglass. TOAD has to be force-quit. Also, the document where this freeze occurred is never one of the recovered files. This never happened before with SQL Server TOAD or that for Oracle or DB2.
There's no obvious pattern, sometimes just clicking on the tab, sometimes choosing a word.
Thanks.

Hi Paul, let me ask you some questions: 1. is it reproduces on a particular DB and server connection or on any available for you? Are they located nearby or they are remote servers? 2. How much objects in your DBs (hundreds, several thousands, for about 100k+) 3. how much connections are already established during freeze? 4. What areas do you usually use? Let’s say you use only connection manager, object explorer and several editors OR the same set but also Session Browser, Schema Reports, Job Manager etc. 5. Can you please send me your Support Bundle so we can investigate your Toad settings and error logs? (alexander.maximov at quest.com) Thanks in advance.

One server, multiple databases. Hundreds of items. Usually one connection, sometimes more. Usually sql editor. Creating the support bundle froze TOAD. After 25 minutes, I killed it. Clicking on TOAD, I could see the beginning of the support bundle, but that was all.
Thanks.

Thanks for the answer. Not sure what it can be for right now. Can it be related to this particular machine? can you try Beta on any other client machine?

I only have access to one machine, unfortunately. Could it be related to highlighting the current line? How would I switch that off so I can see if this could be the issue?
Thanks.

Any update on this? Any suggestions? This has caused a lot of lost time for me, and is a major pain.
Thanks.

Hi Paul, sorry for the delay. We were busy with last Beta contribution. By any chance - have you tried it? Does it look better or the same? We definitely need additional information from your machine to came up with any ideas. We can try to make a WebEx session with you today to see how it looks on your side and try to resolve the issue. I'm not sure for the convenient time b/c we are I different time zones. Please email me so we can arrange a call time. See email below.
In any way, let's try to get your Support Bundle. Please take a look at your Application Data folder with your logs and settings (navigate from Help\About screen). What is the folder size? It seems to me that ExceptionTrace.log file (or any other) can be a huge size (more than a GB), since generate SB process failed. Please move this file to any other place and try to generate SB once again on fresh toad session. In case of huge size of ExceptionTrace.log file (or any others) - please try to zip then and upload as well.

I downloaded and installed the new beta yesterday. So far no crashes (knock on wood). If there are no crashes in the next few days, I'll send a new post (or if there are, I'll send one even faster ;-)).
Thanks.
